Gracie was found as a puppy after she and her brother had been dumped on the side of a road. She had found shelter from rainstorms in a culvert. Her brother wasn't so lucky--he was killed by a car before we arrived.
Gracie is very intelligent and observant. She craves human companionship, but she isn't always sure how to initiate contact. She is a bit timid around strangers, but once she sees that they can be trusted, she is affectionate in a quiet, gentle way. She has plenty of graceful energy, and she enjoys playing with her best friends, Lindy and Bodi. Gracie is a dog who will blossom once she has her forever family. P.S. She was named after Grace, a character in the JUNIE B. JONES books, because we believe she would choose pink high-tops if dogs actually chose shoes. :)
